Since my return to Cornwall, I have specialised in private dining, creating bespoke menus for events and occasions throughout the county. The concept of fine dining has often been monopolised by the restaurant industry, leading people to believe that a truly great culinary experience can only be found in a formal setting.
My mission, however, has always been quite simple: to take fine dining from the restaurant and bring it to a setting that allows the diner to feel at ease, relaxed or meticulous. Whether that setting is their house, a holiday home, a garden, and so forth, the menu can only ever be enhanced by the place in which it delivered.
How it works
A dining experience can often begin weeks in advance. Designing the menu can be a collaborative effort, from making decisions on broader choices regarding theme and cuisine, to the specifics regarding elements of the evening such as table settings and wine pairing. The level of input from the diner is determined by them. We are more than happy to tailor the experience entirely to your specifications or take the reigns ourselves after a discussion regarding your likes, dislikes, and what you’d like to see during the evening.
On the evening, the team and I will arrive in advance, finishing any necessary preparation for the meal. From preparing the kitchen to preparing the dining space, our team will make sure that everything is in place for you to experience the evening and its menu in its purest form.
There will be a brief welcome from the team and a short discussion will be had regarding the evening’s menu. After this, the team will begin proceedings and the dishes will arrive when you are ready.
Once the meal has finished, we will return the kitchen to how we found it. We take pride in our professionalism and the only trace we wish to leave is a lasting impression on those that have eaten with us.
